Shree Saptashrungi Ayurved Mahavidyalaya & Hospital institute is flourishing since 1999. In these two decades institute has developed very consistently.
The B.A.M.S. course was started in 1999-2000 and our first batch was passed out in 2005. And from onward the institute never looked back.
In 2013, I took the charge as the Principal of college and a new epic was started in the history of SSAM. In 2014, CCIM granted permission for increased intake to the institution. And then the intake capacity of the college turned on to 60. Now with permission of NCISM and MUHS Nashik our Undergraduate Admission Intake is 100 since Academic year 2021-22. CCIM granted permission to start Post Graduate courses (M.D. Ayu.) in Ten Subjects in which Five were clinical and five were nonclinical subjects.
The ladder is again taking one more step- we got permission for Ph.D. in Kayachikitsa, Shalyatantra, Prasuti tantra and Streerog, Panchkarma, Dravyaguna, Rasashastra and Bhaishajya kalpana, Ayurved Samhita Siddhant and Sharir Kriya Dept. And PhD program Running with full strength with permission of MUHS.
On the present day the college has achieved various milestones and is recognized at national and international level for excellence in medical education.
The medical college is attached with a hospital which is well equipped with indoor sections having 220 beds with 60% occupancy on average.
Today medical graduation and Post Graduation who have passed from this institute are established throughout the country serving the side and glorifying the rich history of this college.
Ayurveda is growing throughout the world as societies look for holistic, natural ways to stay healthy and manage diseases
My Goals for Institute
Offering educational programs at under graduate, Post Graduate an Ph.D. levels
To encourage innovation skills and promote students for various research activities
To create wide range of awareness about Ayurveda being the leading system of Health Care
Providing platforms for achieving personal as well as professional goals of students and the faculty
To explore the potency of old knowledge with the help of modern techniques and advancements
To propagate Ayurveda as the main stream Health Care System
To provide training to the students in the fundamental principles and practices of Ayurveda
To provide training to the students in disease management
To provide clinical training necessary to become successful practitioners of Ayurveda
