Empowering Ayurvedic Excellence in Panchkarma

Overview

The Department of Panchakarma at Shree Saptashrungi Ayurved Mahavidyalaya & Hospital, Nashik is a premier institution for Ayurvedic education and research. We offer Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Ph.D. programs in Panchakarma, providing students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in this ancient Indian system of medicine.

Our Vision

To Instill the Preventive, Curative and Rejuvenative aspects of Panchakarma by strengthening the conventional knowledge and adopting the remodeled Panchakarma therapies in practice for serving the society

Our Mission

To develop fine Panchakarma skills, management of Panchakarma complications, standardization of Panchakarma procedures and carry out various research activities for UG and PG students.
To expertise the students in communication skills, patients counselling, professional skills and various rejuvenating therapies.
To serve the society by Panchakarma professionals not only to cure but also for prevention of diseases.

Faculty

Our faculty members are experienced Ayurvedic practitioners and researchers who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students. They have published numerous research papers and books on Panchakarma and Ayurveda.

Academic Programs

Since 2006 Department is working separately as per MUHS guidelines academically and clinically for BAMS
In 2014 Post Graduate program was started and till date 36 students are passed from the institute.
In 2023 Ph.D. program is stared and three students are admitted

Research Activities

Panchakarma therapies: Investigating the efficacy and safety of various Panchakarma therapies, such as Shirodhara, Abhyanga, and Basti.
Ayurvedic pharmacology: Studying the pharmacological development of Ayurvedic formulations used in Panchakarma.
Clinical trials: Conducting clinical trials to evaluate the effectiveness of Panchakarma therapies in managing various health conditions.
Achievements
1. Copyright is awarded for “Calculative formula for fixation of per day Shodhanarth Snehapana Matra (Dose) for individuals” by Government of India
2.Patent- Provisional Registration for the patent is filed
3.Awards- Various awards for paper presentation, poster presentation, essay competitions

Panchakarma Department: Well-equipped with Audio- Visual Facility, Mannequins, Specimens, Charts, Models, etc.
Museum: Varies types of Models and Specimens are available to demonstrate Panchkarma Procedures.
Library: A comprehensive library with a collection of books, dissertations, synopsis and research projects about Ayurveda and Panchakarma.
